Leading Your Team is the second of the three SWITCH courses within our PATH Programme, Leading for Success. Leading for Success has been endorsed by the Chartered Management Institute (UK), an organisation that for over 60 years has been dedicated to developing and supporting world class leaders and managers throughout their careers. It is the only chartered professional body dedicated to promoting the highest standards in management and leadership excellence.

Leading for Success and Managing for Success are the two programmes we have developed in conjunction with CMI which enable you to be awarded the CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership. If you already have 5 years management experience, obtaining this Certificate will enable you to apply for globally-recognised designation of Chartered Manager. Yay!

Course overview

The first module of this course is designed to inspire you to learn how to become more effective at Leading Your Team. You’ll see how key considerations such as creating the right team culture, adapting your leadership style, and tying your team’s focus to overall business objectives are all crucial components of making you a more effective leader and manager of people.

The second and third modules are designed to empower you with the knowledge you need to become more effective at Leading Your Team. By learning both the what and the how of team leadership, your confidence and self-efficacy beliefs to lead your team successfully will grow.

Finally the fourth module is designed to help you transform and become a more effective team leader. You do this by thinking about what you’ve learned, your own experiences and then actively thinking through how you can apply your new knowledge to your role.
