This international management and leadership pathway programme is designed for middle managers and those aspiring to senior leadership positions who wish to develop key skills and knowledge in the areas of managing resources, self-awareness and practical leadership.
We focus on developing learners’ management capabilities and leadership competencies with modules designed to help lead and manage self, people and organisations.
Leading from a place of awareness, authenticity and confidence underpinned by mindfulness, focus and deep listening, creates an empowering, productive work environment. Our curated content, reflective questions and practical activities help you apply contemporary leadership theory and cultivate the skills you need to develop your self, lead your people and to grow your organisation. This programme is the first step to becoming a Chartered Manager with the Chartered Management Institute.
In Part 1, you’ll undertake the three courses within our Leading for Success: Leading Your Self, Leading Your Team and Leading Your Organisation. Leading Your Self provides contemporary insights on leadership styles so you can master the art of leading yourself and improve your effectiveness when you lead others. In Leading Your Team you will learn how creating the right team culture, adapting your leadership style and linking your team goals to organisational objectives are crucial elements of helping you lead effectively. Finally, in Leading Your Organisation, you will explore internal issues impacting the creation of a cohesive and empowering culture as well as be introduced to the many external influences impacting your organisation so you can view leadership from a more strategic perspective.
In Part 2, you’ll undertake the three courses within our Managing for Success: Managing Your Self, Managing Your Team and Managing Your Organisation. In Managing Your Self, you’ll learn about a range of management styles and see where your natural style fits and create a Personal Development Plan to help you improve as a manager. In Managing Your Team you’ll learn what it means to be an effective manager and how to boost productivity, develop a better understanding of team behaviour and how to improve team welfare. Finally, in Managing Your Organisation you’ll learn how to think more clearly about your organisation’s stakeholders needs and how to meet them through better management of information, data and relationships.
Very easy course to navigate, understand, interpret and comment / answer on. Provides a good, solid and timely reminder to what is most effective, most beneficial and also most suitable in all areas discussed. Sean Cawley – Finance.
I am thrilled I elected to take the supported route for this qualification. The interactive webinars added so much value. Richard and Cassie provided structured sessions that helped keep me on track. A weekly webinar created the mechanism I used to keep me accountable for making progress. The greatest value though came from the opportunity to hear the contributions, thoughts and experiences of others from different industries. Lee Brooks – Ambulance Service.
I found the quality of course content of very high standard and powerful. This enhanced my understanding of the areas of the course. The design and structure of the course is very methodical and appropriate to my requirements. SR – Managing Consultant.
Supported by Social Cognitive Theory and our HOMEPLay, our programmes and insight tools increase self-awareness, the building block to boosting your sense of personal agency. Your leadership and management status quo then shifts, propelling you forward.
Only through self-reflection are we able to achieve the self-regulation necessary for self-actualisation. We promote self-reflection by embedding a SWITCHBook learning journal in our programs and our insight tool reports and debriefs.
To help you feel better supported and develop your self-confidence as leaders, our programmes include the opportunity to share your ideas and reflections and workplace application with your peers in our social learning area, in SWITCHinars or group consultations.
The practice activities, SWITCHinars, pulse checks and consults used in our programmes aid long-term behaviour change by engaging the brain and reinforcing learning. These learnings have been gained over 50 years of business and education experience.
