The SWITCH online programme is perfect for both mid-career managers and leaders who are either ready or want to prepare for the transition to senior leadership. The Evolving Leaders Transition programme enables participants to discover both their strengths and areas for improvement with a particular focus on their behaviour as leaders. We use Switch self-assessment and leadership insight tools to build greater self-awareness and provide this catalyst for change. Participants are supported through both group mentoring and individual coaching calls to help them set and implement leadership development goals. The programme is offered through our custom-built, digital platform and scheduled, live video calls. Participants also have full access to Switch’s flagship courses – The Reflective Leader and The Barefoot Manager to help participants fill in knowledge gaps and provide them with the opportunity for self-reflection, social learning and practical application to support their transition to senior leadership. You’ll gain greater self-awareness, stronger confidence and a deeper sense of self-responsibility and conviction about your management and leadership capabilities in your journey to become the best manager and leader you can be.
This integrated programme offers self-paced learning from our Reflective Leader and Barefoot Manager courses with 3 self-assessment and leader insights tools. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with our facilitators during 6 group mentoring webinars and 3 individual coaching calls. The group mentoring webinars are designed promote deeper learning through discussion and sharing while the individual coaching calls are built around gaining a deeper understanding of your leadership insight tool results.
The Programme is broken into 6 themes over the 6 month duration with monthly group mentoring webinars and a bi-monthly, individual coaching call. Prior to starting the Programme, you’ll undertake a Switch self-assessment on Empowering Leadership. In Month 1, the focus is on Self Leadership while Month 2 is focused on Self Management. Self Leadership provides contemporary insights on leadership styles so you can master the art of leading yourself and improve your effectiveness when you lead others. In Self Management, you’ll learn about a range of management styles and see where your natural style fits and create a Personal Development Plan to help you improve as a manager. During this first phase of the programme, you’ll undertake the MMAP 360 and have a personal debrief and leadership development goal setting call with a facilitator.
In Months 3 and 4, the focus shifts to Team Leadership and Team Management; In Team Leadership, you will learn how creating the right team culture, adapting your leadership style and linking your team goals to organisational objectives are crucial elements of helping you lead effectively. In Team Management, you’ll learn what it means to be an effective manager and how to boost productivity, develop a better understanding of team behaviour and how to improve team welfare. During this second phase of the programme, you’ll undertake a Decision Making insight tool and have a personal debrief call with a facilitator.
Lastly, in Months 5 and 6, you’ll study Organisation Leadership and Organisation Management. In Organisation Leadership, you will explore internal issues impacting the creation of a cohesive and empowering culture as well as be introduced to the many external influences impacting your organisation so you can view leadership from a more strategic perspective while in Organisation Management, you’ll learn how to think more clearly about your organisation’s stakeholders needs and how to meet them through better management of information, data and relationships. During this third and final phase of the programme, you’ll undertake a Stakeholder Analysis as well as an MMAP 360 survey to get feedback on your transition as an Evolving Leader. Your progress and future goals will then be discussed in an individual call with a facilitator at the end of the programme.
