Being a manager means achieving objectives, goals and targets THROUGH and WITH people. We look at what it takes to be an effective manager through learning how to balance power and control as well as develop trust with your team.
A key development in recent years has been the introduction of greater empowerment with employees and we take a look at the “Power of Empowerment”. We also explore how recognising the difference between leading and managing can help you become more effective in your role.
Finally, we delve into how being a leader and manager in the 21st Century means you have to think differently including the importance of managing stakeholder relationships.
